Dr. Ahmed Anwar: 976 corruption cases are under investigation
on Thursday 8/12/2022 Dr. Ahmed Anwar chairman of commission of Integrity of Kurdistan region implemented a media conference and presented the statistics of corruption cases in Kurdistan region. .
. In the beginning of the conference Dr. Ahmed stated that, observational institutions have an important role for governance process and a huge support which their duties gets more difficult day by day and needs support from all three presidencies. He clarified that, we ask parliament to cooperate us about the amendment of integrity law and judicial authority should decide to establish integrity court, because there are more complaints and cases now and we need more investigators. Chairman of commission of integrity of Kurdistan region stated that, sending corruption cases to court and the process of implementing them doesn't related to commission of integrity but to integrity judges all of them are the duties of judges. Dr. Ahmed Anwar in another part of his speech paid attention on the strategy of anti-corruption in Kurdistan region which now discussions were made with many sectors now wordbook of the law and concept of integrity is taking place in study and scientific research programs which they are an important projects till the beginning of February a report will be prepared about the strategy. About the returning of the form of financial interest chairman of commission of integrity stated that, this year one thousand and 838 form were returned in first course and the process is still ongoing. He also stated that, this year 77 cases were solved in courts and legal department now are busy with preparation of report for implementing reform law. About the statistics of more corruption cases, Dr. Ahmed Anwar chairman of commission of integrity stated that, there are many corruption cases which was recorded there are 487 new cases were recorded and there were 226 news telling cases which over all will be 713 cases which is a huge number according to previous years, because of previous years 976 case is under investigation. Late on chairman of commission of integrity of Kurdistan region answered the questions of reporters and he also presented the statistics for Arab press in Arabic language.
