On Friday 8/12/2023, as commemoration of Anti-Corruption day, a common marathon between commission of integrity of Kurdistan region and ministry of education with the cooperation of UNDP organization took place.
The activity was held in Sami Abdulrahman Park in Erbil with the presence of Rebar Ahmad minister of interior of Kurdistan region, Dr. Ahmed Anwar chairman of commission of integrity of Kurdistan region, Ragaz Rasheed representative of ministry of education, many general directors and students.
The marathon was entitled as '' Deliver your message'' the aim was preventing corruption and delivering correspondence of Anti-Corruption.
In the ceremony, Dr. Ahmed Anwar chairman of commission of integrity of Kurdistan region presented a speech and stated that, Anti-Corruption is a national duty; corruption is not less than terrorism, prevents development and devours economy.
Chairman of commission of integrity stated that, Kurdistan region in the angle of feeling corruption published the law of commission of integrity and commission was established in addition to those problems that were exist in the area, but our attempts for establishing commission were continued we started our duty with only few employees.
Dr. Ahmed Anwar stated that, we took many steps in filling the form of disclosing the assets and we took many other steps even many violations were recorded in general work place.
Chairman of commission of integrity said, we follow up implementing the law of reform and we informed institutions so that the can find solutions, also about investigation hundreds of cases were sent to court, which before establishing commission of integrity corruption cases that was sent to court was few.
Also he clarified that, the strategy of Anti-Corruption now is in the process of implementation and proceeds as a main part.
He ensured that, reform is an important basis; it develops the role of government and service institutions.
He insisted that the law of commission of integrity must be amended in the next course of parliament and must establish a special court for corruption cases.
Also Ragaz Rasheed recited the statement of ministry of education of Kurdistan region and stated the importance of this activity and expressed his delightfulness for cooperation between institutions for Anti-Corruption.
In the same ceremony, Aoki Lotsma representative of UNDP organization whom he participated in the marathon stated that, he's delighted that commission of integrity of Kurdistan region is highly values the commemoration of Anti- Corruption day and has different activities for this occasion.
