On 25 October 2021, Dr. Ahmad Anwar Mohammed, the head of Commission of Integrity in Kurdistan region held a meeting with a delegation of European Union to Iraq, Mrs Barbara Egger, Ebba Abdu, and Ghada Hameed, UNDP project manager. In the meeting they stressed on the EU continuous support of COI in launching long term projects that facilitates the implementation of COI projects.

Commission of Integrity Kurdistan Regional Government - Iraq: An independent Commission will be responsible for fighting corruption in the Kurdistan Region, and will be under parliamentary scrutiny.
Law No. (3) of (2011) regulates the work of this board, the Board of Trustees of the Kurdistan Region works for:
First: Establish an effective mechanism to uphold the rule of law.
Second: Eliminate the phenomenon of corruption and support the principle of transparency and inclusiveness among all institutions in the region, through legal procedures.
