On Tuesday 19/7/2022, Dr. Ahmed Anwar chairman of commission of Integrity of Kurdistan region implemented a meeting with Mr. Hama Hamasaied minister of culture and youth, Dr. Jutyar Adil head of media and information department and Mr. Azad Hamaamin head (captain) of journalists syndicate of Kurdistan.
The meeting was special for the role of media in the strategy of anti-corruption, Dr. Ahmed Anwar in addition to welcoming the guests he stated, media has an important role in confronting corruption that’s why they must implement their duties in this field.
He clarified that, the strategy is not a replacement for any institutions and any institution can implement their role in it.
General Directors of ministry of culture, general director of prevention and transparency department in commission of integrity, manager of the office of the chairman of commission and manger of media department in commission were present in the meeting, all of them were agreed on arranging the duties of media and present duties to them so as they can cooperate the process of anti-corruption.
There's a plan to implement a workshop about this issue for media's of Kurdistan in near future.
